“Assisted by a mentally challenged person”

Evangelistic meetings were conducted in Palaikonam, a village which is twenty
kilometres from Nedumangadu, Kerala. There is an SDA Church in this village. The
meetings were conducted from May 28 – 31, 2025. These meetings were conducted by
Aji Immanuel, the Malayalam Radio Speaker / Producer at Adventist Media Centre,
Pune. This program was part of Impact 2025. The Theme of this Evangelistic Meetings
was “Waves of Hope”. On the first day around 60 people attended on the second day
there were about 50 people and on the last day there were more than 60 people. The
people who attended were from more than 5 surrounding villages.

The first day there was no rain but on the next two days it was rainy heavily throughout
the day and to worsen the situation the electricity failed. Despite this shortfall people
still came in the rain to attend these meetings. On the first day the message was “Hope
for the Homes and Cities” on the second day the message was “Hope from the Cross”
and on the last day the message was “Hope from the mid sky”. Ultimately, it was the
“Three Angels” message that was preached. Homes of people were visited in the rain.
Prayers were offered in the homes and people welcomed and were appreciative of the
efforts taken. I was helped by the local Pastor, the South Kerala Section President and a
mentally challenged person called “Abi George”. Husbands and wives and elderly
parents were honoured for their contribution to families and society. Many people
expressed their appreciation. It was a great experience for me. Also, it was a wonderful
opportunity to share about AWR radio programmes, like the Radio broadcasts and
podcasts to the congregation. It was a great blessing and privilege for me, and I thank
God and the AMC Director, Pr. Laban Rao for guiding and giving me this opportunity.
