Evangelistic meetings were conducted at Kattur, a village which is forty kilometres from Trichy,
Tamilnadu. Many years ago there was a small room that was used as a Church but it closed down after
some years and now after 30 years, meetings of this kind were being conducted. As there is no known
SDA presence, people were sceptical of these meetings and created many problems to disrupt and not
allow the meetings to take place. Finally the Police had to step in and solve the issue and allow these
meetings to take place. It was a trying experience. The meetings were conducted from May 15 – 17, 2025
by Pr. Kalaimani Subramani the Tamil Radio Speaker / Producer at Adventist Media Centre, Pune. This
program was part of Impact 2025. The Theme of these Evangelistic Meetings was “The Unchangeable
Truths of the Bible”. Under this, topics like the Ten Commandments, State of the Dead and Second
coming of Jesus were preached and explained to the congregation. On the average there were near about
100 people who attended these meetings every night. The Local Conference deputed a few Pastors to
help me conducted these meetings
On Thursday evening the topic that was addressed was “Gospel at the Cross”. The congregation listened
very keenly and were willing to accept this truth. On Friday evening the Topic was “God’s Love seen in
the Ten Commandments and about the Sabbath”. This was the first time that the congregation heard
these truths. On Sabbath the topic that was addressed was “What happens after Death and the second
coming of Jesus”. People understood and accepted the truth. It will take more time and follow up to
prepare these precious souls for Baptism. Also, it was a wonderful opportunity to share about AWR
radio programmes, like the Radio broadcasts and podcasts to the congregation. It was a great blessing
and privilege for me. I want to thank God and the AMC Director, Pr. Laban Rao for guiding and giving
me this opportunity.
