Evangelistic meetings were conducted at Toda Basti, a village which is 300 kms from
Sambalpur, the headquarters of North Odisha Region. This is the first time that
Evangelistic meetings were conducted in this village. The meetings were conducted
from April 24 – 26, 2025 by Pr. Purno Chandra Chintada the Odia Radio Speaker /
Producer at Adventist Media Centre, Pune. These meetings were part of Impact 2025.
The Theme of these Evangelistic Meetings was “Are you ready? Jesus is coming”.
Every night there were around 250 people who attended these meetings. The Local
Region deputed two Pastors to help me conduct these meetings.
On Thursday evening the topic that was addressed was about the second coming of
Jesus. That night local people as well as people from the neighbouring States of
Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand also came. On hearing about the second coming of Jesus
the people were impressed and wanted to know more. On Friday a health camp was
conducted from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm with the help of a Doctor and some Nurses.
During the evening meeting when the coming of Jesus was explained further, the
congregation listened very keenly and were willing to accept this truth. On Sabbath
during the session there were 6 people who were prepared to take their stand for the
Lord and were baptised. There are many more that want to take their stand for Jesus
and will do so in the near future. It was also a wonderful opportunity to share about
AWR radio programmes, like the Radio broadcasts and podcasts to the congregation.
