Evangelistic meetings were conducted at Darsi, Ongole, Andhra Pradesh. There is an
SDA Church as well as a School in this town. The meetings were conducted from
August 24 – 31, 2024 by Richard John Chinta, Telugu Radio Speaker / Producer at
Adventist Media Centre, Pune. This program was part of Impact 2025. The Theme of
these Evangelistic Meetings was “Impact for Eternity”. There were about 300, people
both children and adults who were present every evening. There were about 500 people
who attended the Sabbath Services. The people who attended were mostly students,
from the town and from a rural background. There were others also from surrounding
villages who joined these meetings.
During these meetings there was a miracle that happened. A 7th standard girl was
returning in the night after the 3rd day meeting. As she was walking, she felt a sharp
pain in her leg. On checking it was found that she was bitten by a Snake. She was
rushed to the hospital and was treated immediately. Thank God, she survived and took
her stand for Jesus. She was baptised that Sabbath. Simultaneously there were meetings
which were conducted in four other villages in the surrounding area. Pr. Laban Rao, the
AMC Director joined me for the Sabbath service and was the main Speaker. He also
conducted the Communion service. There were 9 precious souls who took their stand
for Jesus in Darsi and 6 of them took their stand for Jesus in Jammukuladinne and 9 of
them from Takkilapadu and were baptised. Everyone was richly blessed by these
meetings. Also, it was a wonderful opportunity to share about AWR radio programmes,
like the Radio broadcasts and podcasts to the members. We exchanged mobile numbers
for us to keep in touch. It was a great blessing and privilege for me. I want to thank God
and the AMC Director, Pr. Laban Rao for guiding and giving me this opportunity.
